Using Reels in Your Content Mix
Written by WorkHorse Social Founder, Kelli Bland
Reels on social media have proven time and time again to reach people beyond your following. Below, we are looking at reel analytics from one of WorkHorse Social’s clients, Scout Aesthetics, to showcase the impact reels have on social media growth.
The first reel we are looking at is from Scout Aesthetics. This reel got 5.6k views, with 85.6% of that being from non-followers. This statistic states that about 4.7k new people saw Scout Aesthetics’ content.
Although this is only one reel of Scout’s that we are looking at, many of their reels average around 60-80% of non-followers viewing the reel. This is evident that reels need to be in rotation in a business’ content mix.
Although reels may not be the best strategy for engagement from the current following, they are essential to incorporate into the mix because they allow new eyes to see the content. Analytics are essential to social media management because they allow you to optimize your content based on what’s working and what isn’t.
